Why did you decide to become an accountant?
I’ve always been fascinated by the story numbers can tell, and accounting allows me to be the storyteller. It’s incredibly rewarding to help businesses make sense of their finances and strategize for success.
When were you hired for TL;DR?
I was just hired this month, October 2024, and I’m thrilled to be part of a dynamic team.
What made you decide to want to work for TL;DR?
I’m drawn to environments that challenge me.
What do you enjoy most about TL;DR?
Although I’m still new, I’m excited about the prospect of working in a place that values both innovation and genuine service. Everyone I’ve met so far has been incredibly welcoming, which makes starting a new job a lot easier.
What is a typical work day like for you?
My days are currently a mix of onboarding and diving into new knowledge. I’m enjoying learning the ropes and getting to know my colleagues. It’s a whirlwind of new information and new faces, which keeps things exciting.
What is your favorite tip for small business owners?
Keep your financial records organized from day one! It may seem tedious, but it’s the backbone of making informed decisions and staying compliant. Plus, it saves you from future headaches when things get busier.
How do you stay informed about developments and changes in the accounting world?
Continuous learning is key in such a dynamic field. I subscribe to industry newsletters, read news and articles; Networking with other professionals also helps me stay on top of trends and regulatory changes.
What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?
Professionally, helping a client save on costs ranks high. Personally, conquering my fear of heights was a major milestone, reminding me that persistence pays off.
What do you do outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy working out and exploring new cuisines.
If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose?
I’d choose to be Sherlock Holmes—both for the mystery-solving skills and the cool hat.
