Today we want to introduce Johana, our new Executive Operations Specialist, and the newest TL;DR team member to join the team!
Why did you decide to become an accountant?
My first exposure to accounting was in high school, and since then accounting came naturally to me. I was fascinated by the idea of how every business activity (no matter how insignificant it may appear in silo), when viewed interdependently with other activities, provides a much better and more detailed picture of the entire business activity.
When were you hired for TL;DR?
I was hired in October of 2024.
What made you decide to want to work for TL;DR?
I found the position interesting for my growth, I love the chance to get new challenges and to contribute with my experience to the growth of the company
What do you enjoy most about TL;DR?
All the new challenges and knowledge I’m having and the way the company is managed!
What is a typical workday like for you?
I normally have several meetings with my team and tend to use the rest of my time sending emails organizing and developing strategies to improve my productivity.
What is your favorite tip for small business owners?
That would be to be organized, have a great trustworthy relationship with their team members, and delegate in the best way possible.
What do you do outside of work?
I love to spend time with my daughter, my family, go out with my friends and sleep a lot of rest time.
If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose?
I would like to be Perry the Platypus, because he has that secret adventurous life of saving the world but he is in his regular life so calm and loved.
Do you have any advice for those interested in entering the accounting field?
I would advise them to make sure that they are interested in work under pressure and if that is the case, to be as organized as possible!
