Team member spotlight: Paula

Today we want to introduce Paula, our new marketing & sales specialist, and the newest TL;DR team member to join the team!

Why did you decide to become an accountant?

I’ve always been good with numbers. Math was always my favorite subject when I was in school. I also love learning about new subjects and industries. I want to expand my knowledge.

What made you decide to want to work for TL;DR?

I think the website and the services they offer are amazing. I love the fact that clients can pay a low rate to resolve they’re accounting problems.

What do you enjoy most about TL;DR?

I enjoy that clients have the independence to set up meetings and talk with professionals about their accounting needs.

How do you stay informed about developments and changes in the accounting world?

By doing a lot of research on the internet: reading articles, and connecting and talking to CPAs via LinkedIn. Or just asking my coworkers.

What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?

Over excelling in my sales position to become an Executive Assistant and Sales professional. I have been able to build a better lifestyle for my daughter and myself.

What do you do outside of work?

I spend most of my time with my daughter. I also like to spend time with my other family members as well. I love working out and just being active. I love taking nature walks and just being outside. I also like traveling.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose?

Sailor Moon is my all time favorite fictional character.

Do you have any advice for those interested in entering the accounting field?

Have patience because there are a lot of numbers that you need to work with. Be very organized!

We welcome Paula to the TL;DR: Accounting team!
