Since the inception of TL;DR: Accounting, we’ve developed a proven process of doing business with our clients. Our process streamlines the manner in which we move from the start of a project to its successful completion.
It begins with listening. Over a 30-minute phone call, we’ll discuss your current issues and problems then identify how we can help you best. Together, we’ll discover your pain points and needs to determine which step to take next. If we feel that you are not a great fit for us, we’ll make use of our extensive network to help you find a firm that syncs with you.
After our phone call, we’ll follow up with you to request access to your books and records. If you’re looking for tax help, we’ll also request copies of your prior year tax returns. This allows us to determine your current financial situation and helps us get to work solving your issues.
At this point, we’ll provide you with a price quote. The quote will include a list of what needs to be done to get you on track and how to move forward with your goals. We’ll send you a proposal, along with an engagement letter and payment authorization.
Once these documents have been signed, we may require additional information while working on your project. For recurring projects like bookkeeping, we use a few different applications to receive and sort your receipts and monthly statements. For tax returns, we will send you an organizer.
After we’ve received the information, files, and documents we requested, you can breathe a sigh of relief knowing your financial issues are being overseen and handled by a skilled and talented team.
